Analysing a piece of Electroacoustic music

I am going to be analysing Crushing(2023) a single by alternative and experimental popstar, Eartheater. This song is a composition built with ‘pillowing percussion and romantic strings, Eartheater addresses a man in her crosshairs, folding her words like origami’ (Toups, 2023, Pitchfork Music). I believe this composition is particularly compelling as Eartheater uses a hypnotic wordplay to tell their story of her romance. Each line describes how her lover is many things, always evolving and is everything. An example is,

‘You’re the turn on that I can’t refuse
You’re the fuse that dеtonates my body
You’re the body that blows my mind
You’rе the mind that stays open
You’re the opening of a shell
You’re the shell that has a pearl
You’re the pearl that’s big and swollen with iridescence because you stuck around’

This innovative lyricism is makes this piece of music compelling because it is poetic and authentic. I personally haven’t come across this songwriting style before.
